Finding Comcast Specials Is Only Mouse Click Away

September 13th, 2008

I recently switched from dial up to broadband internet and I couldn’t be happier with my decision. My old dial up service simply couldn’t handle the new technology that I wanted to utilize on the internet. While I was researching broadband companies, I came across an online advertisement with a few Comcast specials. One of the websites was very helpful and even had a comparison chart to help me choose a plan that fit my lifestyle. Signing up online was easier than I thought, although it did take some time on that old 56k modem.

Installation of my new service was quick and easy, even for a computer beginner like myself. Now that I have my new broadband internet, I am doing things I never could do before. I can watch movies and stream music. Surfing the net is amazingly fast now. I no longer have to wait all day for my email inbox to load. I can even use my webcam to have conversations with friends in real time. Thanks to the great Comcast specials, I did not have to spend a lot of money. My monthly bill is reasonable and I am a satisfied customer.

Broadband Choices have you mesmerized?

August 28th, 2008

When choosing between Internet service providers like at&t dsl or comcast broadband, you definitely need to consider the reliability of service in you area. In the event cost is not the deciding factor when choosing between DSL or cable, quality and reliability should be looked at more closely.  Before deciding you should compare the advantages and benefits of each type of internet service plan. Some providers may not have a great reputation in your area and this is something you should be aware of before making a poor choice.  Some think that large cable service providers may have an edge in customer service, but DSL is hot on the tracks and developing a great reputation as their industry matures.

The raising costs of high speed providers

August 23rd, 2008

When looking for DSL or cable ISP’s, there are several things you need to consider, but an important one to pay attention to is Cost. While many people consider this to be the deciding factor in their broadband choice, they may need to look a little further. Most high speed internet service providers have promotions from time to time like Comcast Specials. However, you need to be aware that prices will jump after the promotional period. Sometimes they will even double. No matter what type of internet connection a person seeks it is always a good idea to do some research before making any decision. You may also expect to pay a premium for super high speed internet plans.

Comparing Broadband Made Easy

August 17th, 2008

If you are thinking of comparing cable and DSL internet providers, there are several things you need to consider. One of the most important factors to understand is speed. A cable connection is known for its raw speed, but falls short during times that other internet users in your neighborhood are online. This is primarily because it is considered a shared pipe. In a side by side comparison, cable runs faster than DSL. Cable technology reaches approximately 30 Mbps of bandwidth, where most DSL providers hover around 10 Mbps. There are DSL service providers that support 30 Mbps but very limited in terms of geographic availability. At the end of the day it is important to compare speed plans from all of the providers in your area to make sure you find a right fit.
